This company which is a major play in the testing and approvals service are now seeking an individual to join them in their expanding and dynamic Physical and Security Team.

The team is experiencing rapid growth in demand for its testing and approval of security products such as doors, windows, shutters, safes and perimeter protection.

As part of their strategy for growth they are looking to recruit a Testing and Evaluation Engineer whose primary responsibility will be to conduct testing and assessment of physical security products to a wide range of LPS, national and international standards.

This is an exciting and challenging role requiring the ability to work in a growing area of the business, delivering multiple testing and evaluation projects while also supporting the business’ development.

Their ideal candidate will have experience of testing and technical evaluation gained while working for either a third party laboratory, certification body, or in a product development role for a manufacturer.

The Testing and Evaluation Engineer will be responsible for:
• Conducting testing and evaluation of wide range of physical security products.
• Producing test and evaluation reports together with other technical publications.
• Helping to ensure the technical integrity and quality of the work undertaken by the physical security team, and ensuring it complies with our strict due diligence procedures.
• Representing and promoting the business at exhibitions, events and other forums.
• Providing technical support to manufacturers, specifiers, end users and other stakeholders.

Skills and Competence for role:
• Familiarity with relevant standards, directives and regulations.
• Experience of testing and, ideally, certification.
• Effective project management skills.
• Strong numeric and analytical skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills, and demonstrable attention to detail.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Proactive and conscientious.
• Energetic and determined to deliver a first class service.
• Willing and able to travel both in the UK and internationally.
