My client is an international consultancy providing advice on the development of natural resources, and they help clients develop natural energy resources across the complete asset cycle.

You will be reporting to the Associate Director – Contingency Planning, and your role within this expanding team will be to assist clients in providing worldwide Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) support to wide range of industry sectors including: Petroleum exploration and production operations (on and offshore); Oil, gas and gas liquids processing, Project construction and decommissioning; Power generation; Refining and chemicals;

Requirements:
• 5 yrs + incident management experience - preferably at Silver/Gold level or equivalent
• Proven ability to develop incident management/contingency plans
• Planned, developed and directed multi-level Emergency/incident exercises
• Ability to work with (and critique) clients at all levels from Board to site – i.e. diplomatic
• Operational and tactical response experience (Oil & gas, military, Police, Firefighting, etc)
• Relevant degree or substantial equivalent experience
• Experience of designing and delivering training all levels of an organisation
• Able to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice
• Proven ability to work in teams but able to self-motivate
• Project management
• Understanding and experience in conducting risk assessments
• Proficient in MS Office particularly Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
• Able to be on call and within 2 hrs. travelling time to London

Advantageous experience for the role:
• Oil spill management experience – use of equipment, OPEP/OSCP’s, shoreline protection
• Oil & gas operations experience
• Working knowledge of oil & gas HSE legislation
• Working knowledge of ICS
• Training, Line Management and Consultancy experience
• Security assessment and planning

The ideal individual would be someone who has experience in Silver/Gold level incident management control, and would be someone who has moved from the military to civilian service sectors, i.e. Fire, Police or environment protection.
