Electronics/Mechanical Engineer (088jc) vacancy in Nuneaton, West Midlands ()

My client is a well established machine engineering company with over 150 years of experience within their sector and is now seeking Electronics/Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

The Engineer will undertake technical attendances and queries relating to, service, installation, commissioning, fault finding & repair of all supported equipment, as well as being a contributing member of the service team and its continuous improvement.

The main duties will be:-

• To attend customer sites as designated by the Service Coordinators to perform, installation, commissioning and repair services on all supported equipment.
• To promptly respond to all customers\' enquiries within 24 hours.
• To inform the Service Manager of all customer enquiries to allow accurate record keeping
• To write accurate and comprehensive reports, which are signed off by appropriate customer personnel following all attendances
• Process customer returns and address warranty issues in conjunction with the service office
• To promote an impeccable image of the company at all times
• To maintain and enhance personal effectiveness through training and development
• To develop a strong working relationship with all other departments
• To carry out other reasonable tasks when requested by line management.
• To comply with and maintain the confidentiality of all information relating to all the company\'s operations.
• To assess customer satisfaction after the delivery of systems and products.

Applicants must have:

• Previous experience of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, including maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of metal cutting machine tools
• Excellent communication skills
• A self-motivated, enthusiastic approach and the ability to work well under pressure
• Possess a full driving licence and have a willingness to travel within the UK.

This role would be an ideal start point for an individual who has solid experience of Electronics and Mechanical engineering, who is seeking to extend his military skills into the civilian sector, the ideal individual would probably come from REME, RE or similar from the Royal Navy or RAF, and training will be given on the specifics of CNC mechanical engineering.

They are seeking someone who lives within a reasonable commute from their Nuneaton office; however you will be spending significant time on Clients sites (50-60% travel), where you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the equipment, as well as on the job teaching of client engineers to help maintain and repair the equipment.
