Our client is one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers with 347 manufacturing operations and 94 product developing, engineering and sales centres in 27 countries. Their competitive capabilities include body exteriors and structures, power and vision technologies, seating systems and complete vehicle solutions.

Our client has the largest Mould department in Europe, have been expanding & have a further hiring need for a Mould Production Team Manager within Mould Operations. The environment is great; friendly, team based, fully supportive of training and progression and with opportunities to move around different departments (it is extremely rare to have so many different types of engineering & technical aspects on 1 site i.e. moulding, automation, robotic painting, assembly & tooling) . Safety & Quality is paramount.

The main purpose of the job is to manage all aspects of the Mould Production shifts taking care of the People Process and performance of the department. Reporting to Mould Operations Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage health and safety aspects for mould teams.
Manage and maintain Risk Assessments within area of responsibility.
Manage quality improvements through KPI’s.
Coach the leaders on process adherence and quality management.
Ensure standardised working procedures are in place for all key tasks and kept up to date
Manage performance through KPIs and action plans.
Maintain well organised, secure consumables inventory and replenishment system.
Manage bottle necks within the process chain.
Ensure cycle times and production targets are met.
Operate within budget for area of responsibility.
Manage headcount and overtime within budget for your team.
Lead and champion continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance on safety, uptime, quality, processes, and cost down opportunities.
Reduce waste within the production areas.
Focus on tac time and process improvement.
Focus on targets and team efficiency for throughput and output.
Ensure good team working principals are being adhered by all team members.

Specific Skills & Experience:

Leadership/Management Qualification
Previous production management experience of large teams across shifts patterns
Experience in injection moulding
Experience with Microsoft Office

Beneficial
IOSH trained.
